DYSC Sr. Academy Program (Ages 7–12)

Soccer ⚽️ is more than just a “kick and run” game — it builds character, teaches responsibility and commitment, and helps develop essential life skills like focus, creativity, decision-making, and problem-solving — all while having fun!

The DYSC Sr. Academy is designed for recreational players, offering a structured and supportive environment where young athletes (ages 7–12) learn foundational techniques, game rules, and develop a genuine love for soccer through engaging and enjoyable training.

Training Schedule & Location

Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (1.5 hours)
Location: Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex – Field #6
Address: 1200 Saxon Blvd, Deltona, FL 32725

Seasons:

• Fall Season: August 18 – October 10, 2025

• Spring Season: February (TBA) – April (TBA), 2026
  Duration: 8 weeks per season

👧👦 Age Groups & Equipment

Open to boys and girls ages 7–12.
Players are grouped into two age brackets:

• Ages 7–9

• Ages 10–12

All players must bring:

• Soccer ball (Size 4 or 5)

• Water bottle

• Shin guards

• Cleats

✅ Teams are coed and carefully formed by the Sr. Academy Director to ensure balanced skill levels and fair play.
✅ Friday is match day!

• Ages 7–9: 6:00–7:00 PM

• Ages 10–12: 7:00–8:00 PM

A reminder email with important program information will be sent before the season begins.

⚽ Training Method: Play–Practice–Play

The Sr. Academy uses the proven Play–Practice–Play approach to maximize engagement and learning:

• Play: Fun, free-flowing activities to start each session

• Practice: Focused technical drills for individual improvement

• Play: Small-sided games to apply skills in real-game scenarios

Weekly Focus:

• Monday: Technical fundamentals and individual development

• Wednesday: Guided Play–Practice–Play sessions

• Friday: Game Day! Match play with structured coaching

👥 Coaching Staff & Parent Involvement

Led by the Sr. Academy Director and supported by trained parent volunteers, every session is designed to be structured, safe, and engaging.

• Jr. Talent ID / Pre-Competitive – For players identified with high potential

• Developmental (Pre-Competitive In-House) – Skill-focused, structured play

• Sr. Academy (Recreational In-House) – Continue learning and playing for fun
